is currently accepting scripts for its 2009 Aspiring Playwriting Contest. Entries
are due March 15, 2009. Additional

Playwriting Contest Submissions
Sponsored by East Valley Childrens TheatreEast Valley Childrens Theatre is searching for aspiring playwrights to become a part of the theatres future seasons of performances. Contest rules and prizes are listed below.
All Plays must be submitted to EVCT no later than March 15, 2009. (Must include a cover sheet with name, address, phone number and age.)
All Plays must be suitable for children to perform for children.
All Plays must be one hour to one hour and a half in length. (Shorter plays may be submitted but they will not be considered for production by the theatre as one of its seasons productions.)
Musicals as well as just plays will be accepted (Musicals must include music in some form).
The play must be an original and not previously performed.
Cash prizes will be given for the first, second and third place entries.
The first place entry will not only receive a cash prize but will be produced by East Valley Childrens Theatre in its upcoming season, if it meets all the criteria for performance.
Musicals as well as plays will be accepted. Music in some form, either printed or audio, must accompany the entry if it is a musical.
