EVCT Spring 2010 Workshops

Workshop I – Acting Focus
Saturday, March 27th for kids age 5-8

9-11 am – Performing on Stage
11:30am-1:30pm – Beginning Acting

Cost of one workshop is $25 or take both for $35

Workshop II – Beauty & the Beast Auditions Preparation
Saturday, April 17th for kids age 8-18 —  9 am-12 noon 

Learn about the auditions process at EVCT. Work on characterization, singing and dancing for a musical audition.

Cost of the workshop is $25

Workshop III - Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre & EVCT!

Workshop III - Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre & EVCT!
**SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY**
Saturday, April 10th for kids age 8-12 — 9 am-12 noon

Cost of the workshop is $10

EVCT will be collaborating with Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre this summer on it production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. We are looking for kids age 8-12 to come and audition to be a part of the show. The following is the information about the collaboration and dates that you would need to be available in order to be part of the project.

1. Must have been in an EVCT program in the past or are currently enrolled in an EVCT program.
(IF YOU’RE NOT ENROLLED WE HAVE WORKSHOPS, CLASSES AND SPRING BREAK AND SUMMER CAMPS COMING UP.)

2. Must be 8-12 years of age and boys voices cannot have changed (only treble voices will be used in the show) Kids age 7 will be considered with recommendation of an EVCT staff member.

3. Must be able to attend the workshop and audition on Saturday, April 10 from 9am to 12 noon.

4. Must be available for two rehearsals during the months of April and May (to be determined by the kids chosen to be in the show) as well as rehearsals June 15-18 from 1-3pm, June 21-23 (10-12 and 1-5 on any one or more of these days still TBD) and June 24 to July 6 times TBA by Broadway Palm (only some of these dates will be required).

5. There will be two choruses of kids – Chorus I will perform July 7-11 and August 6-8 and Chorus II will perform July 14-18.

6. Kids will be required to provide their own Khaki shorts and tennis shoes for the show.
