EVCT Troupes

EVCT Express Troupe

Under the direction of Nicole Gibson-Rice EVCT Express is a chance for youth age 8-16 to experience and learn skills in creative interaction and collaboration and in the process produce a performance piece that they present to a variety of audiences and at various locations. The troupe meets once a week for two hours and creates a play based on a title. In the past they have performed at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital, elementary schools, libraries, bookstores and retirement villages. The cost of being a member is $90 for the 14 weeks of class. Express meets on Thursdays from 4:30-6:30 pm.

Auditions are August 28 (Saturday) – 1:30 pm and 2:15 pm – Ages 8-16

InterGenerational Theatre Troupe (IGT)

Under the direction of Nicole Gibson-Rice, youth age 12-18 meet once a week, interview senior citizens then take the stories they have gathered and turn them into mini plays. They are then rehearsed and presented in retirement communities and assisted living centers in the East Valley. ITG is a chance for youth to experience and learn skills in creative interaction and collaboration as well as creative writing, while in the process producing a performance piece. The cost of being a member is $90 for the 14 weeks of class.  The Troupe meets once a week on Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 pm.

Auditions are August 26 (Thursday) – 5pm for Kids age 12-18

On the Spot Teen Improv Troupe (OTS)

On the Spot works on basic improvisational skills during its rehearsals and then performs in the East Valley. On the Spot is a chance for youth age 12-18 to gain self confidence, learn to think on their feet, work as a part of a team, and experience creative expression. Under the direction of Alyssa Drake, the Troupe performs at a variety of venues in the East Valley. The cost of being a member is $90 for the 14 weeks of class. The Troupe meets once a week on Tuesdays from 6-8 pm.

Auditions are August 28 (Saturday) – 3 pm – Ages 12-18

EVCT BRAVO

EVCT’s newest performance troupe – a singing and dancing troupe. Open to kids age 8-18, the group will rehearse Wednesdays from 5-7 pm learning songs and choreography from Broadway Musicals. BRAVO will perform in the East Valley Community during March and April. Membership in the troupe is by audition. The cost of being a member is $110 for the 14 weeks of class.
