EVCT Scholarship Information

Congratulation to EVCT’s Scholarship Winners for 2009

We wish these two former EVCT participants the best as they pursue their education in Theatre and know that they will be successful at attaining their goals.

2010 Scholarship Application Information

East Valley Children’s Theatre will choose a former EVCT performer or technician to receive a scholarship for higher education. The Theatre will give at least one $1,000 scholarship, and two if funding is available. Selected candidates need to be enrolled in or intending to enroll full-time in a two-year junior college, four-year undergraduate college or university, graduate program, or professional theatre-training program. This is a one-year, non-renewable scholarship for the school year beginning August 2010. All applicants and recipients may reapply each year. Proof of enrollment is required.

Requirements for applicants:

  1. Must have performed at EVCT either in a production or with a traveling troupe, or worked on the technical crew for a production
  2. Must be attending, or intending to enroll in a 2-year, 4-year, or an accredited post high school program
  3. Must be pursuing some kind of a degree that utilizes theatre either as a minor or major
  4. Must show need for the funding

Applicants will be selected by a committee of community and educational professionals outside of EVCT.

Deadline for applications is June 1, 2010. Presentation and announcement of the winner or winners of the scholarship will be made at our summer show in June of 2010.

Applications must include:

  1. a completed application;
  2. a current resume of theatrical activities;
  3. two letters of recommendations; and
  4. proof of enrollment to an accredited educational institution.

Incomplete applications will not be considered for the scholarship.
